Offset printing

Offset printing is a highly advanced technological process known for producing the most striking prints The quality and vibrancy of colors are attributed to meticulous preparation. The process involves layering individual colors in successive stages.

As an indirect flat printing method, offset printing is based on the repulsion between oil and water. Here, the printing and non-printing areas are almost at the same level. We use high-viscosity, oil-based inks that set by absorbing into the substrate and through oxidation. These inks are transferred onto paper by the printing and impression cylinders.

Offset printing is particularly cost-effective for larger orders, offering low unit costs and exceptional packaging appearance.  It is also viable for smaller runs due to relatively lower initial costs compared to flexographic printing and the requisite photopolymer printing plates.

We enhance the visual and tactile appeal of offset printing. At TFP, our innovative machinery enables us to produce prints with diverse finishes:

  • Special varnishes achieve effects like high gloss, pearl gloss, or matte.
  • Embossing subtly accentuates graphic or textual elements in offset printing.
  • Cold Stamping involves using cold-stamping foil and specialized glue.

Refining offset printing can also focus on quality improvements. For instance, dispersion varnish facilitates quicker drying and enhances abrasion resistance. Offset prints can also be finished with anti-slip varnish,  and lamination adds protection against mechanical damage.
